Just not the story that was written. The story is that congress agreed to give away (or invest if you prefer) 700 billion in tax payer dollars to banks and financial institutions that have a proven track record of mismanagement without actually demanding that they not spend it on bonuses, parties, etc. Yes the N&O missed something, or simply chose not to correct it, but given its track record is it any surprise?
